The Telangana Education Common Entrance Test (TG EDCET 2025) will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) by Kakatiya University, Warangal, on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE). Furthermore, admission into the two-year B.Ed. Regular Course in the Colleges of Education across Telangana for the academic year 2025-2026.

TG EdCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

Candidates applying for TG EdCET 2025 must meet the following educational qualifications:

  1. General Eligibility:
    • Candidates must have passed or appeared in a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines that is in B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, B.Sc (Home Science), BCA, BBM, B.A (Oriental Languages), BBA.
    • OR complete Master’s Degree, with at least 50% aggregate marks.
    • OR B.E/B.Tech (Engineering or Technology) with at least 50% aggregate marks.
    • OR any other equivalent qualification.
  2. Relaxation for Reserved Categories:
    • Candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC and other reserved categories must have secured at least 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
  3. Required Documents:
    • Candidates must produce the marks memo and pass certificate during counseling.
  4. Ineligible Candidates:
    • Candidates with the following degrees are not eligible for admission into the B.Ed course:
      • MBBS, B.Sc (Agriculture), BVSc, BHMT, B.Pharm, LL.B, and other professional/job-oriented degree courses.
    • Moreover, candidates holding a Master’s Degree without an Undergraduate Degree are also not eligible.

Age Limit

  • Candidates must have completed 19 years as of July 1st of the year in which the notification is issued.
  • The good news is that there is no upper age limit for applying.

TG EdCET 2025 Exam Pattern

  • The common entrance test will be an objective-type (multiple-choice) examination.

  • Each question carries one mark, making a total of 150 marks.

  • The duration of the exam is 2 hours.

  • The test consists of 150 questions divided into different sections.

  1. Open an internet browser (Google Chrome or Internet Explorer 6.0 and above).
  2. Type the website address: edcet.tgche.ac.in and press ENTER.
  3. The homepage of the TG EdCET website will be displayed on the screen.

  1. Click on the Application Fee Payment
  2. A new page will appear with a Note dialog box.
    • Click YES to proceed.
    • Click NO to return to the homepage.
  3. If you click YES, the Application Fee Payment form will be displayed.

  2. On the payment page, select your card type (VISA, MasterCard, Maestro) and click PAY.
  3. Enter your card details (Card Number, Expiry Date, CVV) and proceed with the payment.
  4. Do not refresh or close the browser during payment.

  • A Payment Reference ID will be displayed. Note it down for future reference.
  • You will be redirected to the next step: Application Form Filling.

Checking Your Payment Status

  1. Click on Know Your Payment Status
  2. Enter your Qualifying Examination Hall Ticket Number and Mobile Number.
  3. Click Check Payment Status.
  4. If payment is successful, your transaction details will be displayed.

In Case of Payment Issues:

  • If your amount is debited but the payment receipt is not generated, check your Payment Status.
  • If you receive a Payment Transactions Not Found message, make a fresh payment.
  • Any deducted amount from an unsuccessful transaction will be refunded within 5 to 7 working days.

  1. Click Proceed to Fill Application.
  2. Enter the Payment Reference ID, Hall Ticket Number, Mobile Number, and Date of Birth.
  3. Click Proceed to Fill Application.

  3. Enter your Payment Reference ID, Hall Ticket Number, Mobile Number, and Date of Birth.

Important Notes:

  • Do not refresh or click the back button during payment processing.
  • If payment status shows “Transaction Successful” but no Payment Reference ID is displayed, check Know Your Payment Status.
  • If the amount is deducted but payment fails, try again. The deducted amount from the previous attempt will be refunded in 5 to 7 working days.
  • Always save your Payment Reference ID and Registration Number for future reference.

Hall Ticket Download

Candidates can download their Hall Ticket from May 29, 2025, following the official website edcet.tgche.ac.in.

Qualifying Marks

  • The minimum qualifying marks in the entrance test for all candidates (except SC/ST) is 25% of the total marks (rounded off to 38 marks).
  • There is no minimum qualifying mark for SC/ST candidates for general ranking.
  • However, SC/ST candidates must secure at least 25% (38 marks) in TG EdCET to be considered under the NCC, Sports & Games, Physically Handicapped, or Children of Armed Personnel quotas.

Ranking Criteria

  • Candidates will be ranked in order of merit based on the marks obtained in TG EdCET 2025 (online exam).
  • If two or more candidates score the same total marks, the following criteria will be used to determine their rank (in order of priority):
    1. Subject/Content Marks (higher marks rank higher).
    2. Teaching Aptitude Marks (if still tied, higher marks rank higher).
    3. General English Marks (if still tied, higher marks rank higher).
    4. General Knowledge & Educational Issues Marks (if still tied, higher marks rank higher).
    5. Computer Awareness Marks (if still tied, higher marks rank higher).
    6. If the tie persists after considering all the above, candidates will be bracketed together for ranking purposes.
    7. At the time of admission, age will be considered, with older candidates given priority.

Important Notes

  • The rank obtained in TG EdCET 2025 is valid only for admission to the B.Ed course for the academic year 2025-26.
  • Requests for re-totaling, re-evaluation, or personal verification of answer scripts will not be entertained.

Eligibility Criteria for TG ECET 2025

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility requirements to appear for TG ECET [FDH & B.Sc. (Mathematics)] 2025 for lateral entry admission into:

  1. 2nd-year regular B.E./B.Tech. courses (approved by AICTE) in University and Private Professional Institutions (both Minority & Non-Minority).
  2. 2nd-year regular B.Pharmacy courses in University and Private Professional Institutions (both Minority & Non-Minority) approved by the Pharmacy Council of India.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian National.
  2. Domicile: Candidates must fulfill local/unreserved status requirements as per AP Educational Institutions.
  3. Educational Qualification:
    • Candidates must have one of the following qualifications:
      (a) A Diploma in Engineering & Technology/Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Telangana or any other recognized equivalent Diploma.
      (OR)
      (b) A 3-year B.Sc. Degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognized University in Telangana or an equivalent qualification.
    • Final-year students (2024-2025 batch) are also eligible, but they must submit proof of qualification at the time of admission.
  4. Sandwich Diploma Candidates: Candidates pursuing a sandwich pattern Diploma must complete their practical training before the counseling process for admissions.
  5. Minimum Marks Requirement:
    • Candidates must have passed Diploma in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy or B.Sc. (Mathematics) Degree with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates).
    • Candidates must have appeared and qualified in TG ECET 2025.
  6. General Rule:
    • Mere appearance in the exam does not guarantee admission. Candidates must fulfill all eligibility and admission criteria as per official guidelines.

Order of Preference for Diploma Candidates:

  • Information Technology:
    • First preference will be given to candidates with a Diploma in Information Technology.
    • If seats remain vacant, candidates from any Engineering/Technology diploma will be considered based on their integrated merit ranking.
  • Textile Technology:
    • Candidates must have completed a Diploma in Textile Technology (Design & Manufacturing) or Textile Technology (Knitting).
    • Additionally, they must have completed Intermediate or an equivalent qualification with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.
  • Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (EIE):
    • Candidates with a Special Diploma in Industrial Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering must appear for the TG ECET  2025 exam in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (EIE).
    • Admission is subject to eligibility conditions as per government regulations.

Qualifying Marks for TG ECET 2025

  • Minimum qualifying marks to obtain a rank:
    • 25% of total aggregate marks (50 marks out of 200).
    • SC/ST candidates are exempted from the minimum qualifying marks requirement.

TG PECET 2025 Exam Pattern

The Telangana Physical Education Common Entrance Test (TG PECET-2025) is conducted for admission into B.P.Ed. (2 years) and D.P.Ed. (2 years) courses. Candidates will undergo physical tests as part of the TG PECET 2025 selection process. The entrance test consists of the following two assessments:

1. Physical Efficiency Test (Maximum: 400 Marks)

Evaluators will assess candidates based on four compulsory events and award marks using conversion tables approved by the TG PECET Committee.

For Men Candidates:
  1. 100 M Run – 100 Marks
  2. 800 M Run – 100 Marks
  3. Shot Put (6 Kg) – 100 Marks
  4. Long Jump / High Jump – 100 Marks
For Women Candidates:
  1. 100 M Run – 100 Marks

2. Skill Test in Game/Sport (Maximum: 100 Marks)

  • Candidates must participate in the prescribed sports and games.
  • Authorities will award 100 Incentive Marks to meritorious sports persons based on their performance.
  • NCC Participation Bonus:
    • NCC “C” Certificate – 5 Marks
    • NCC “B” Certificate – 5 Marks

Candidates must select one sport/game from the list below. Subject experts will award marks based on performance.
