TG EDCET 2025 Online Application, Syllabus & Latest Updates
The Telangana Education Common Entrance Test (TG EDCET 2025) will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) by Kakatiya University, Warangal, on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE). Furthermore, admission into the two-year B.Ed. Regular Course in the Colleges of Education across Telangana for the academic year 2025-2026.

TG EdCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
Candidates applying for TG EdCET 2025 must meet the following educational qualifications:
- General Eligibility:
- Candidates must have passed or appeared in a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines that is in B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, B.Sc (Home Science), BCA, BBM, B.A (Oriental Languages), BBA.
- OR complete Master’s Degree, with at least 50% aggregate marks.
- OR B.E/B.Tech (Engineering or Technology) with at least 50% aggregate marks.
- OR any other equivalent qualification.
- Relaxation for Reserved Categories:
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC and other reserved categories must have secured at least 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
- Required Documents:
- Candidates must produce the marks memo and pass certificate during counseling.
- Ineligible Candidates:
- Candidates with the following degrees are not eligible for admission into the B.Ed course:
- MBBS, B.Sc (Agriculture), BVSc, BHMT, B.Pharm, LL.B, and other professional/job-oriented degree courses.
- Moreover, candidates holding a Master’s Degree without an Undergraduate Degree are also not eligible.
- Candidates with the following degrees are not eligible for admission into the B.Ed course:
Age Limit
- Candidates must have completed 19 years as of July 1st of the year in which the notification is issued.
- The good news is that there is no upper age limit for applying.

TG EdCET Online Application Form Process
- Open an internet browser (Google Chrome or Internet Explorer 6.0 and above).
- Type the website address: edcet.tgche.ac.in and press ENTER.
- The homepage of the TG EdCET website will be displayed on the screen.
Application Fee Payment
- Click on the Application Fee Payment
- A new page will appear with a Note dialog box.
- Click YES to proceed.
- Click NO to return to the homepage.
- If you click YES, the Application Fee Payment form will be displayed.
Enter the Required Details:
- Qualifying Exam Hall Ticket Number
- Candidate Name
- Date of Birth
- Candidate’s / Student’s Mobile Number
- Alternate Mobile Number
- Email ID
- Category
- Physically Challenged (PWD) Status
- Payment Type (Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking)
- Click on Proceed to Payment, Rs. 750/- for others whereas Rs. 550/- for SC / ST / PH candidates.
- On the payment page, select your card type (VISA, MasterCard, Maestro) and click PAY.
- Enter your card details (Card Number, Expiry Date, CVV) and proceed with the payment.
- Do not refresh or close the browser during payment.
After Successful Payment:
- A Payment Reference ID will be displayed. Note it down for future reference.
- You will be redirected to the next step: Application Form Filling.
Checking Your Payment Status
- Click on Know Your Payment Status
- Enter your Qualifying Examination Hall Ticket Number and Mobile Number.
- Click Check Payment Status.
- If payment is successful, your transaction details will be displayed.
In Case of Payment Issues:
- If your amount is debited but the payment receipt is not generated, check your Payment Status.
- If you receive a Payment Transactions Not Found message, make a fresh payment.
- Any deducted amount from an unsuccessful transaction will be refunded within 5 to 7 working days.
You Have Two Options:
- Proceed to fill the application immediately.
- Fill the application later by returning to the website.
Steps to Fill the Application Form:
- Click Proceed to Fill Application.
- Enter the Payment Reference ID, Hall Ticket Number, Mobile Number, and Date of Birth.
- Click Proceed to Fill Application.
- Fill in all the required details and click Preview/Submit.
- Review your details and click the Declaration
- Click SAVE to store the information.
- Click Preview/Submit to proceed.
- Confirm details and click Confirm/Freeze.
- Later, a confirmation message will appear on the screen as “Your Application Confirmed Successfully. Please note your Registration Number.”
- Click Print Application to take a printout of your submitted form.
Printing the Filled-In Application Form
- Visit edcet.tgche.ac.in
- Click Print Your Filled in Application Form.
- Enter your Payment Reference ID, Hall Ticket Number, Mobile Number, and Date of Birth.
- Click Get Application Details.
- Your application details will be displayed.
- Click Print to get a hard copy or Download to save a digital copy.
Important Notes:
- Do not refresh or click the back button during payment processing.
- If payment status shows “Transaction Successful” but no Payment Reference ID is displayed, check Know Your Payment Status.
- If the amount is deducted but payment fails, try again. The deducted amount from the previous attempt will be refunded in 5 to 7 working days.
- Always save your Payment Reference ID and Registration Number for future reference.
Hall Ticket Download
Candidates can download their Hall Ticket from May 29, 2025, following the official website edcet.tgche.ac.in.
Qualifying Marks
- The minimum qualifying marks in the entrance test for all candidates (except SC/ST) is 25% of the total marks (rounded off to 38 marks).
- There is no minimum qualifying mark for SC/ST candidates for general ranking.
- However, SC/ST candidates must secure at least 25% (38 marks) in TG EdCET to be considered under the NCC, Sports & Games, Physically Handicapped, or Children of Armed Personnel quotas.
Ranking Criteria
- Candidates will be ranked in order of merit based on the marks obtained in TG EdCET 2025 (online exam).
- If two or more candidates score the same total marks, the following criteria will be used to determine their rank (in order of priority):
- Subject/Content Marks (higher marks rank higher).
- Teaching Aptitude Marks (if still tied, higher marks rank higher).
- General English Marks (if still tied, higher marks rank higher).
- General Knowledge & Educational Issues Marks (if still tied, higher marks rank higher).
- Computer Awareness Marks (if still tied, higher marks rank higher).
- If the tie persists after considering all the above, candidates will be bracketed together for ranking purposes.
- At the time of admission, age will be considered, with older candidates given priority.
Important Notes
- The rank obtained in TG EdCET 2025 is valid only for admission to the B.Ed course for the academic year 2025-26.
- Requests for re-totaling, re-evaluation, or personal verification of answer scripts will not be entertained.
