The TG Law Common Entrance Test (TG LAWCET 2025) is conducted for admission into 3-year and 5-year LL.B. courses in Telangana. Osmania University, Hyderabad, administers the exam for the academic year 2025-26. Eligibility Criteria for TG LAWCET 2025

Age Limit

  • No age restriction as per Bar Council of India guidelines.

3-Year LL.B. Course

  • Candidates must have a Graduate Degree (10+2+3 pattern) from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of:
    • 45% (General Category)
    • 42% (OBC Category)
    • 40% (SC/ST Category)
  • If a candidate has lower marks in graduation, they must secure the required percentage in Post-Graduation or B.Ed.
  • Candidates who obtained a degree by single sitting (without completing a three-year course) or through an Open University without prior qualification are not eligible.
  • Polytechnic Diploma is considered equivalent to Intermediate (+2).
  • Final-year degree students can apply but must pass before counseling.

5-Year LL.B. Course

  • Candidates must have passed the Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) or an equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of:
    • 45% (General Category)
    • 42% (OBC Category)
    • 40% (SC/ST Category)
  • Polytechnic Diploma holders are eligible.
  • Final-year Intermediate students can apply but must pass before counseling.

Qualifying Marks for TG LAWCET 2025

  • Minimum 35% (42 marks out of 120) for General/OBC candidates.
  • No minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates.
  • Admission is not guaranteed by qualifying alone; candidates must also appear for counseling and fulfill other admission conditions.

Syllabus

The TG LAWCET 2025 is designed to assess the candidate’s ability and aptitude for law studies. The exam consists of three parts:

TG LAWCET 2025 Online Application: Step-by-Step Procedure

  1. Open an internet browser (preferably Internet Explorer 6.0 and above).
  2. click on the link provided lawcet.tgche.ac.in.
  3. The homepage of the TG LAWCET 2025 website will be displayed.

There are two steps to follow in the application form filling process.

STEP 1: APPLICATION FEE PAYMENT

You can pay the TG LAWCET 2025 application fee using any of the following methods:

  • TG Online Centre (cash payment)
  • Online Payment (Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking)
1. TG Online Centre for cash payment
  1. Choose your nearest TG Online Centre.
  2. Visit the center with the following details:
    • Name of the Board
    • Qualifying Exam Hall Ticket No. / Roll No. / Registration No.
    • Candidate’s Full Name
    • Father’s Name
    • Mother’s Name
    • Date of Birth
    • Candidate’s Mobile Number
    • Stream Applied For (LL.B. 3/5 Years, LL.M. 2 Years)
  3. Receive a Transaction ID on the Receipt Form from the Payment Centre.
2. Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking Payment
  1. Click on “APPLICATION FEE PAYMENT”.
  2. A new Payment Verification Page will appear.
  3. Fill in all required details and click on “Proceed to Payment”.
  4. Choose the payment mode:
    • Credit/Debit Card (Visa/MasterCard/Maestro)
    • Net Banking
  5. Enter your card details (Card number, Expiry date, CVV).
  6. Click on “Pay”.
  7. After a successful transaction, you will receive a Payment Reference ID.
  8. Note down this Payment Reference ID for future use.

Important Notes:

  • Do not refresh, go back, or close the browser during payment.
  • If the payment is debited but no receipt is generated, check your Payment Status before making another payment.
  • If the Payment Status is “Payment Details Not Found”, reattempt payment. Any previous amount deducted will be refunded in 5-7 working days.

STEP 2: FILL APPLICATION FORM

  1. Click on “Fill Application Form” on the homepage.
  2. Enter:
    • Payment Reference ID
    • Qualifying Exam Hall Ticket Number
    • Candidate’s Mobile Number
    • Date of Birth
  3. Click on “Proceed to Fill Application”.
  4. Enter all mandatory details:
    • Candidate’s Name, Date of Birth, Contact Details, Email ID.
    • Qualifying Exam Hall Ticket Number, Exam Details.
    • Category (SC/ST/BC/OC).
    • Special Category (NCC, PH, Sports, CAP).
  5. Click “Save” to store the information.
  6. Click “Preview/Submit” to review your application.

Evaluation Process

  • The evaluation process involves multiple levels of checking, scrutiny, and ranking.
  • Requests for re-totaling or revaluation will not be entertained.

Ranking Criteria

  • Candidates are ranked in order of merit based on their TG LAWCET 2025 scores.
  • In case of a tie:
    1. Marks in Part-C (Aptitude for the Study of Law) will be considered first.
    2. If the tie persists, Marks in Part-B (Current Affairs) will be taken into account.
    3. If the tie remains, seniority in age will be used for ranking at the time of admission.

    1. National Integration Quota (NIQ) – Applicable for University Campus Law Colleges and Constituent Law Colleges.
    2. Management Quota – Applicable for Private Law Colleges.
