The official number of vacancies for SSC CHSL 2025 exam has not been released yet by the Staff Selection Commission. The detailed vacancy list will be published along with the official notification. - For DEO / DEO Grade ‘A’ (in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Ministry of Culture):
- Must have passed 12th Standard in Science stream with Mathematics from a recognized Board.
- For LDC / JSA and other DEO / DEO Grade ‘A’ posts:
- Must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
- Candidates who are appearing for their 12th Standard exam may also apply, but they must meet the qualification requirement on or before 1st August 2025.

Selection Process for SSC CHSL 2025
The selection process involves multiple stages as outlined below:
Minimum Qualifying Marks
To move forward in the selection process, candidates must secure the following minimum qualifying marks in Tier-I and in each section of Tier-II:
- UR (Unreserved): 30%
- OBC / EWS: 25%
- All Other Categories: 20%
Shortlisting for Tier-II
- Candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-II based on their performance in Tier-I.
- Normalized scores will be used for shortlisting and final selection.
Tier-II Examination
- Tier-II consists of three sections, and candidates must appear for all sections.
- It is mandatory to qualify in each section of Tier-II for further consideration in the selection process.
- Section-III will be evaluated only if the candidate qualifies both Section-I and Section-II.
- Candidates failing to qualify in Section-I or Section-II will be disqualified.
- However, Section-III is qualifying in nature and includes the Computer Knowledge Test and Skill Test / Typing Test.
Note:
- For DEO posts, the Skill Test is mandatory.
- For all other posts (except DEO), the Typing Test is mandatory unless officially exempted.
Preparation of Merit List & Final Selection
- The merit list will be prepared solely based on aggregate marks obtained in Section-I and Section-II of Tier-II.
- Section-III will not be counted in the merit list but must be qualified.
- Final selection will be based on:
- Overall performance in Tier-II
- Post preferences submitted by the candidate during the application process

How to Apply
The online application process for the examination includes two parts:
Part-I: One-Time Registration
- Keep the following documents/information ready before you begin:
- Verified mobile number (OTP required)
- Verified email ID (OTP required)
- Aadhaar number (or any one of the following if Aadhaar is not available):
- Voter ID
- PAN card
- Passport
- Driving License
- School/College ID
- Employer ID (Govt./PSU/Private)
- 10th class (Matriculation) details: Board, Roll Number, and Year of Passing
- Disability Certificate Number, if applicable
- Click on ‘Register Now’ on the login page of the official SSC website: ssc.gov.in. Fill in the One-Time Registration form.
- After filling in details, confirm your mobile number and email ID. The system will then generate and display your Registration Number.
- The system will also send your Registration Number and Password to your mobile and email.
- Complete your registration within 14 days, or the saved data will be deleted.
- Login using the Registration Number and auto-generated password, then change your password when prompted.
- Login again with your new password to view and edit your basic details if needed. Then click “Next” to continue.
Part-II: Filling the Online Application Form
- Keep the following information and documents ready before you begin the application:
- The system will capture your live photograph during the application process.
- Upload a scanned signature in JPEG format (size: 10 to 20 KB)
- Keep ready the details of your educational qualification, passing year, roll number, percentage/CGPA, university name, etc.
- Log in using your Registration Number and password.
- Click on ‘Apply’ under the ‘Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination 2025’ section in the ‘Latest Notifications’ tab.
- Review Your Details which will auto-fill from your One-Time Registration.
- Enter the details of your qualifying educational qualification.
- Choose your exam center preferences. All three preferences must be within the same region and in your preferred order.
- Upload your live photo and signature as per the specifications.
- Preview your application before submitting.
- Check the “I agree” box and enter the captcha code to complete the declaration.
- Submit the application once you confirm all details are correct in the preview.
- Pay the application fee unless you’re exempted.
- Once submitted, the system will accept your application provisionally. Print a copy of your application for future reference and submit it to the Commission after the Computer-Based Examination, when required.
