TG POLYCET 2025 Notification, Online Application & Updates

Online Applications are invited from candidates who have passed SSC or its equivalent examination recognized by the Board of Secondary Education, Telangana, Hyderabad or are appearing in 2025, to apply for the Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TG POLYCET 2025)

This entrance test is conducted for admission into Diploma Courses for the academic year 2025–26 in the following institutions in Telangana State:

TG POLYCET 2025 IMPORTANT DATES

• Commencement of online registration: 19-03-2025 (Wednesday)
• Last date for online registration without late fee: 19-04-2025 (Saturday)
• Last date for online registration (with late fee of Rs. 100/-): 21-04-2025 (Monday)
• Last date for fee payment and completion of application (with Tatkal fee of Rs. 300/-): 23-04-2025 (Wednesday)
• TG POLYCET 2025 Exam Date: 13-05-2025 (Tuesday)
• Declaration of results (Tentatively) : After 12 days of examination

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification
   • Candidate must have passed the S.S.C. Examination conducted by the State Board of Secondary Education, Telangana or any equivalent examination recognized by the Board.
   • Acceptable equivalent boards include:
     • CBSE
     • ICSE
     • NIOS
     • TOSS
     • Other State Boards in India
   • Candidate must have Mathematics as one of the subjects and should have obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying exam.
2. Additional Eligibility for Equivalent Boards (NIOS, TOSS, CBSE, ICSE, Others)
   • Must have passed all subjects including Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, with minimum 35% marks in each subject.
3. Appearing Candidates
   • Candidates who are appearing for SSC or equivalent examination in March/April 2025, and whose results are awaited, are also eligible to apply.
4. Age Criteria
   • No age restriction for appearing in TG POLYCET 2025.
   • However, scholarship eligibility will follow the rules and any future instructions from the Social Welfare Department.
5. Age Requirement for Specific Universities
   • For PJTSAU, PVNRTVU, and SKLTSHU diploma courses:
     • Minimum Age: 15 years as on the year of admission
     • Maximum Age: 22 years as on 31-12-2025

Qualifying Marks

• Polytechnic (SBTET) Courses:
  – Minimum 36 Marks out of 120 in Maths + Physics + Chemistry.
• Agriculture, Veterinary & Horticulture Courses (PJTAU, PVNRTVU, SKLTGHU):
  – Minimum 36 Marks out of 120 in Maths (scaled to 30) + Biology + Physics + Chemistry.

Application Fee

• The application fee for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories is Rs. 250.
• For other category candidates the application fee is Rs. 500.
• A late fee of Rs. 100 will be applicable if the application is submitted after the deadline.
• A Tatkal fee of Rs. 300 is charged for urgent processing beyond the late fee period.

TG POLYCET 2025 Online Application Process

1. Registration

• Visit the official website: polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in
• Click on “Registration” that is available in the home page and fill in the required details.
• Verify your mobile number using the OTP sent to your registered mobile.
• After successful verification, you will receive your Registration Number and Password via SMS.

2. Login

• Go back to the homepage and click on Login.
• Log in using your Registration Number and Password to access the application form.

1. Fee Payment

• Click on “Pay Now”.
• Choose your preferred payment gateway online and complete the payment.
• Once payment is successful, you’ll be redirected to the application form.

2. Application Form Sections

Fill the following sections step-by-step:

• Personal Details → Click “Get Details” after filling.
• Communication Details → Click “Next”.
• Category Details (Caste/Community, Income, etc.) → Click “Next”.
• Special Category Details (PH, NCC, Sports, etc.) → Click “Next”.
• Examination Center Preferences → Click “Next”.
• Study Details (Class-wise Schooling Information) → Click “Next”.
• Upload Photo and Signature → Upload and click “Save & Preview”.

Step 4: Generate Hall Ticket

• After previewing and confirming the details, click on “Generate Hall Ticket”.
• Download and print your Hall Ticket for the entrance exam.

TG POLYCET 2025 Hall Ticket Download

• Download the hall ticket from www.polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in prior to the examination which will be conducted on 13th May 2025.
• Firstly check for Errors Immediately like your hall ticket details (name, photo, etc.). If any mistake is found, contact the Coordinating Center immediately and get a revised Hall Ticket.
• Preserve it carefully even after the exam until admission process is completed.
• Entry is allowed only with a printed hall ticket. Know your exam center location in advance for easy access.
• Separate exam center with translation help is provided at Government Polytechnic, Masabtank, Hyderabad. This facility is only for those who opted Urdu medium in the application form.

TG POLYCET 2025 Results & Ranking

1. MPC Rank: For Polytechnic Diploma Courses (SBTET)

Qualifying Marks:

• Minimum 36 out of 120 marks (30%) required to pass.
• SC/ST candidates: Need to score at least 1 mark to get a rank and be eligible for category-based seat allotment.

Ranking Process:

• Based on total marks in the entrance test.
• Used for admission into SBTET-affiliated Polytechnic Diploma Courses.

Tie-Breaking Criteria:
If two or more candidates get the same marks, the following will be used to decide rank:

• Higher marks in Mathematics
• Higher marks in Physics
• Earlier date of birth as per SSC certificate
• If still tied, higher percentage in the qualifying exam (Class 10)

2. MBiPC Rank: For Agri, Veterinary & Horticulture Diploma Courses (PJTAU, PVNRTVU, SKLTGHU)

Qualifying Marks:

• Minimum 36 marks out of 120 (Maths (60/2), Biology, Physics, and Chemistry combined).
• SC/ST candidates: Eligible with at least 1 mark in POLYCET.

Ranking Process:

• Ranks based on marks in Maths (scaled), Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
• Used for admission into diploma courses offered by PJTAU, PVNRTVU & SKLTGHU.

Tie-Breaking Criteria:

• Higher marks in Biology
• Higher marks in Physics
• Higher marks in Chemistry
• Earlier date of birth as per SSC certificate
• If still tied, higher percentage in Class 10 exam

• Expected after 12 to 15 days of the test.

8 Smart Preparation Tips for TG POLYCET 2025

1. Understand the Exam Pattern & Syllabus Clearly:
   • The exam includes Maths (60 marks), Physics (30 marks), Chemistry (30 marks), and Biology (30 marks) (only for Agri/Vet/Horti aspirants).
