The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has officially released the notification for the Inter Level Combined Competitive Examination 2025, opening up a significant opportunity for candidates who have passed their intermediate (10+2) level. With thousands of vacancies across various departments of the Bihar government, this recruitment drive offers aspirants a chance to secure stable government jobs.
The selection process will be conducted in three phases Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam, and Document Verification and interested candidates can start applying online from 25th April 2025 through the official BSSC website.
This year’s recruitment includes a wide range of posts such as Lower Division Clerk, Revenue Staff, Panchayat Secretary, and more, with category-wise reservation and 35% seats reserved for women candidates.
The application process will be strictly online, and candidates are advised to read the guidelines carefully before submission. The Preliminary exam will consist of 150 objective-type questions, and there will be a negative marking of one mark for every four incorrect answers.

Education Qualification
- Essential Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Agricultural Science from a recognized institution/university.
- Desirable Qualification: Relevant experience and practical knowledge in agriculture is preferred.

Salary
The Salary for field assistant is in the pay matrix of level 2 from Rs.5200/- to Rs.20200/- along with an Grade Pay amount of Rs.1900/-.
Exam Process of BSSC Field Assistant Recruitment 2025
1. Written Exam – Objective Type (Multiple Choice Questions)
- According to the Bihar Staff Selection Commission Examination Guidelines 2010, only those candidates who score above the cutoff in the written test will move forward in the selection process.
- The merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the written exam.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- General Category: 40%
- BC: 36.5%
- EBC: 34%
- SC/ST, Female, and PwD: 32%
2. Final Merit List
- The written exam will be the only deciding factor.
- If two candidates get the same marks, the older candidate in terms of date of birth will be given preference.
- If the tie still persists, preference will be given based on alphabetical order of names in Hindi.

- Exam Mode: OMR Sheet (Offline)

- Total Marks: 400
- Time Duration: 2 hours 15 minutes
- Each Question Carries: 4 Marks
